made a Cultural Arts District by the State of Louisiana.
This entitles all original art sales to be Tax Free!
For Baton Rouge and Louisiana residents, this means
a savings of up to 9%.
The exemption also includes limited edition works of
up to 100 copies.

Sothebys Sells Audubon Originals
For $11,500,000.
In December 2010, Sothebys Auction House
sold a complete set of the original edition of John James Audubon’s
Birds of America for $11,500,000.
This was the first complete set to be offered for sale since 2004.
The last complete set offered sold for
$8,000,000.
This now makes the Birds of America the most valuable set of
books in the world.
